How to perform surface treatment on eye lifting nuts?

Eye lifting nuts are components used to connect mechanical equipment, enabling lifting, hoisting and suspension operations. Their working principle relies on the screw holes and threads at the bottom to mate with threads of the same specification. By connecting with threaded studs, eye lifting nuts can easily lift equipment and machinery of different specifications, models and weights.

Eye lifting nuts refer to fasteners screwed onto bolts or screw rods for fastening, and are essential components for all manufacturing machinery. They are common fixing hangers in engineering, with screw threads at the bottom; drilling can be done according to different specifications and fixation achieved via screw holes. Eye lifting nuts tightly connect mechanical equipment, and only those matching screws of the same specification can be joined via internal threads.

Surface treatment of eye lifting nuts usually includes electroplating and hot-dip galvanizing processes. After electroplating, deoxidation treatment shall be performed immediately. Test methods for mechanical properties and chemical composition of relevant materials must comply with GB 699. There are no industry regulations mandating surface treatment for eye lifting screws, but galvanizing passivation can be applied.

Surface treatment procedures for eye lifting nuts:

Eye lifting screws generally require no surface treatment; upon request, galvanizing passivation or chrome plating may be adopted in accordance with GB 5267-85. Deoxidation treatment must follow immediately after electrogalvanizing. Test methods for chemical composition and mechanical properties shall conform to GB 699. Grain size test is not mandatory for routine inspection; where required, follow YB 27. Thread inspection shall be conducted using thread gauges, smooth limit gauges or universal measuring tools.
